Application Pre-Qualification Criteria

• Our Master Developers come from diverse backgrounds such as business, marketing, sales, and management.
• Must own and operate at least one restaurant and be in full compliance.
• Must be current with royalty and rent payments in all stores currently owned
• Must speak the local language (or have a partner that does).
• Must be willing to move to the territory and live there full time (or have a partner who will).
• Master Developers must complete an MD training program along with an in-store operations training program.
• All partners must meet all criteria before becoming eligible to apply- especially some experience in retail/service experience and franchisee training.

The Application Process

• Review the criteria listed above. Determine if your area of interest is still available. See available territories here or contact our corporate office for more information.
• Contact our Executive Vice President (EVP) to discuss your interest and register your application. A formal MD application form will be sent to you at this time.
• You will then meet with the EVP and the other members of the corporate team if necessary who will determine if you are a qualified candidate.
• If qualified, you'll receive proposal guidelines to conduct your market research on the territory and submit a detailed development proposal and will be directed to the Vice President of Business Development (VPBD). Work closely with VPBD in creating your proposal.
• You have 14 days to complete the proposal and then it will be forwarded back to EVP for further review. Include the following:
  
  • Resume / financial statement / initial survey
  • Market research on the territory / Development Proposal.
  • Results of your meeting with VP - Business Development.
• You will be sent a sample MD agreement and development schedule to review for the territory you are applying for. Any questions/concerns must be resolved before your formal presentation.
• Once your submitted proposal has been reviewed and accepted, you will be invited to Chino Hills, California HQ to make a formal presentation to our interview team. All proposed partners must attend the presentation.
• If approved, you will sign your MD agreement, following which all partners must attend and pass a 2 week MD training course.
• Move to the area, and start developing. We encourage you to open your own restaurant to build supply lines, credibility with future franchisees, and to serve as a model store.
